Portadown
General Information
Portadown is located in the Armagh County of Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, and officially became a major town in the Victorian era after the construction of the railways. A busy industrial and railway centre for the County, Portadown is fast growing in size and population.
The Ballybay River flows into the town from the west joining the River Bann which flows through the town. There are three bridges in Portadown crossing over the river, one being a railway bridge.
