Strabane
General Information
Strabane is located in the Tyrone County of Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, and has recovered well after the River Mourne flooded the town centre in 1987.
The area around the town has many beautiful forests and glens providing locals and visitors with great outdoor pursuits and is very popular especially in the summer months. Strabane is composed of valleys and heather-covered moorlands of the Sperrin Mountains - a pretty sight.
Strabane is home to one of Ireland's largest golf courses and with the River Mourne providing excellent angling and fishing opportunities, the town keeps visitors entertained. The local council is continuously striving to increase tourism into the area by introducing various projects to support the town.
