Bangor is a large seaside resort located in the North Down County of Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Selected at one point as the most desirable place to live in Northern Ireland the town is a particularly busy one especially in the summer months, with tourism being an important part of the economy.

Bangor Marina is one of the largest in Ireland, has blue flag status and is a focal point for the town drawing in many visitors every year. Bangor has a rich and varied past, having been an important port, a Victorian and Edwardian holiday resort and is today the commuter town for Belfast and a large retail centre.
