Castlereagh is located in the Down County of Northern Ireland, United Kingdom and borders the district of Lisburn to the southwest. Castlereagh has close links with eastern Belfast with many of its residents employed in shipbuilding and connected industries.

Castlereagh Arts provides an annual programme of community art events which includes concerts, workshops, exhibitions, bursaries and festivals for all ages. The events and exhibitions take place at various venues throughout the year.
