General Information
Newtownabbey formed in 1958 is located in the Antrim County of Northern Ireland, United Kingdom and is largely a residential area with good retail and leisure facilities.
The surrounding natural landscape makes the town an ideal location for many outdoor and sporting activities. There are three large parks which are popular with both locals and visitors alike, as well as a wonderful walking and cycling route linking one part of the town to the other.
Belfast Lough offers bird watchers the chance to view some unique and beautiful bird life. Newtownabbey is a well-rounded town which has the capacity to keep the whole family entertained, with some excellent indoor amusement and leisure facilities aimed at children.
